The Materials Technology Institute’s comprehensive three-day FRP and Dual Laminate Training Course covers materials and design fundamentals, manufacturing techniques for pipe and equipment, applicable codes and testing, fabricator qualification, installation, inspection, repair options, and case histories. The course content provides unique, practical information for inspection and maintenance of these materials of construction that is not available elsewhere in the industry. This course is intended for personnel involved in procurement, inspection, reliability and maintenance of FRP and Dual Laminate equipment and piping. The training material is especially beneficial for personnel new to the use of FRP and Dual Laminates. The course is instructed by subject matter experts with more than 125 years of combined experience. They bring a wide range of knowledge and have successfully completed numerous FRP and Dual Laminate projects and learned important lessons along the way.

DVS Welder Certification Courses conducted by SKZ
Wegener Welding, LLC is pleased to announce registration is open for the Annual DVS (German Welding Society) Welder Certification Courses conducted by SKZ. This October will be Wegener's 19th year hosting these in-depth, one week training and certification courses. Attendees from an array of backgrounds gain theoretical, practical, and hands-on knowledge of plastic welding practices. Participants can opt to take the certification exams at the end of the course.
The John Kidd award is presented annually to the individual whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence and integrity in the field of Dual Laminates. The individual can be a fabricator, material supplier, inventor, consultant, end user, welder, or anyone else who has been instrumental in the development, fabrication, or promotion of Dual Laminates. Nominations for the award will be accepted until December 31, 2021. The award will be presented by the Dual Laminate Fabrication Association at the 2022 spring meeting.
